Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts in the past few weeks! I have been busy getting work done for school. Also, the nice camera I usually use to take my pictures has been lent out, and I am waiting to get it back. Therefore, my pictures today were taken with my lovely little iPhone!
A few months ago I did a little shopping trip to one of my local thrift stores. Most of the time I do not find any apparel items right off the rack that I could wear. But I do love the great fabrics you can find at the thrift store. I found this horribly boxy shirt made with fabulous fabric. I knew I could turn it into something.
Sort of has a Missoni-ish look to it, I think!
See?! It really is fun-patterned material to work with. I simply just cut off the top of the shirt, under the arms. Then I had to add a lining to go underneath since the material was see through. Out of the top part of the shirt, I created a band to go around the top of the skirt.
What a lovely transformation!
All put together with some black tights, shirt, and heels!
This skirt is very comfortable, and I love it. I had to call my momma to come over and check out my work, and she loved it too. Of course we did a mini photo shoot as well!
